When I was looking for an image to use I had this one and an image of Kotori from X/1999 holding a globe. I've always liked that picture and wanted to incorporate it into a grphic of some sort, but then I saw this picture. I've been wanting to do a Utena layout for a while now too since I just finished reading the manga, and looking at it I thought the way Utena and Touga were positioned was good for a layout. So I took this picture and extracted it from the background, which was rather hard. I created the pattern in the background myself, I'm getting the hang of making those now. Actually, everthing in this layout except for the sakura brushes and the Utena picture was made by me. I'm starting to rely less on materials from other people like brushes and patterns and starting to create my own stuff now. It's much better when you say that you created the layout because you honestly did; it's not made by others by way of their brushes and such.

As for techinical things, this layout was fairly easy to code, except for the navigation. To make my text go around the layout I created a transparent image and placed it to the right of the content, so it would go around that. That picture however ended up covering the navigation, so any links I made wouldn't be clickable. I had to copy that code and then place the links below the content in my code, and then position it on top in order to have the links working. It worked, so I'm happy with the way everything is organized now. The code in this layout is much better than the last one since I've learned more, and now it looks good in Mozilla. The CSS from the previous layout wasn't entirely valid and so I got default link colours and such when it was viewed in Mozilla. I didn't care enough to fix it, but since this was a new layout I figured I would fix it up and make it look good. Overall I'm very, very satisfied with this layout, and it will probably stay up for a while.
